Approved Cookie Policy wording hasn't been published yet. This page is a factual list of the cookies and browser storage Clipy uses today, taken from the product itself. It is not a policy and adds no terms. See also the Privacy Policy.
The Clipy apps use no advertising cookies and load no third-party scripts. In the Clipy apps, analytics only runs if you allow it, and you can change that here any time. Error reports store nothing in your browser and leave out personal details. Everything else is needed for Clipy to work or a choice you made yourself. The public website, useclipy.com, also measures visits, ad results and how its pages are used with the tools listed under Advertising measurement and our product-analytics provider, asks first where the law requires it, and treats Global Privacy Control as declining.
The Clipy apps use one product-analytics tool, and only if you allow it, and no advertising or cross-site tracking tools. Advertising measurement exists only on the public website, useclipy.com, where the same analytics tool follows that site's cookie choice.
Strictly necessary
Keep you signed in, protect sign-in, and remember which workspace you're using. Clipy can't work without them, so they can't be turned off.

Help Clipy see which pages and features get used, with our product-analytics provider. In the Clipy apps, set only after you choose Allow, sent only through Clipy's own address, and removed when you turn analytics off. Advertising measurement (useclipy.com only)
Set only on the public website, useclipy.com, to measure visits and which ads lead to a booked call. The Clipy apps never set them. The ad tools' items, and the product analytics there, are set in the EU, the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Canada only after you choose Accept on that site; elsewhere they are on unless you decline. A browser that sends Global Privacy Control is treated as declining, wherever it is, until you choose Accept yourself. The click-analytics visit ID is the exception: where click analytics is switched on, it is set with your first click. Cookie Settings in that site's footer changes your choice at any time, and its Privacy & Cookie Policy (useclipy.com/privacy) has the detail.

Analytics and error reports
Product-analytics provider
Which pages and features get used. In the Clipy apps, only if you allow analytics; on useclipy.com, as that site's cookie choice allows. Sent through Clipy, without your IP address; session recording is off and form inputs aren't captured.
Error-monitoring provider
Crash and error reports so Clipy can fix problems. Stores nothing in your browser. Reports leave out cookies, addresses' query strings, your email and IP address.
Other services your browser talks to
Social media and sign-in providers' image servers
When a page shows a video thumbnail or a profile picture that lives on that platform. Your browser loads the image directly, so the platform sees your IP address and browser, as with any image. Clipy sends them nothing else.
Our payout partner (creator payouts)
Only on the creator Earnings page, inside the payout window you open. The payout partner may set its own cookies inside that window for identity checks and payouts. They are governed by its own policies.
Our payment processor (brand payments)
Only when a brand pays in the checkout. The payment processor's code runs on the page and may set its own fraud-prevention cookies there, such as __stripe_mid (about a year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes), and inside its payment form. They are governed by its own policies.
Ad measurement and call booking on the public website (Meta, Google Ads, Whop, Calendly)
Only on useclipy.com, never in the Clipy apps. The three measurement tools load only with your consent (asked first in the EU, the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Canada; never loaded for a browser that sends Global Privacy Control unless you choose Accept). The booking tool's script loads with each page of that site, and its calendar when you open it or on the page that shows it. Each sees the page you are on, your IP address and browser, and sets the items listed under Advertising measurement. A booked call is also reported to Meta from Clipy's server, with your email address, name, phone number and country hashed, your IP address and your browser; so are an account created after such a visit and its first payment (hashed email and name, the ad click ID and the payment's amount). They are governed by their own policies and by useclipy.com/privacy.
Your choices
You can turn analytics on or off here at any time, whether or not you're signed in. The choice covers every Clipy site in this browser, and turning analytics off removes what it stored.
Your choice is kept in the clipy_analytics_consent cookie, with a copy in this site's browser storage, both listed under strictly necessary above. They hold only the version of the question you answered, your answer and when you gave it: no name, email address or account ID. After 12 months, or if analytics starts doing something you should be asked about again, Clipy asks again; until you answer, analytics stays off in the Clipy apps (on the public website, useclipy.com, it follows that site's own cookie choice). If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Clipy treats it as "No thanks" and doesn't ask, unless you turn analytics on yourself.
Signed in, you can also clear your remembered preferences and change the analytics choice from your Clipy settings (Security → Account). Your browser's settings can delete cookies and site data at any time; clearing the strictly necessary ones signs you out.
